Superior Real Estate School is Todd J. Smith: a licensed Arizona broker, a certified real estate instructor, and a 40-year veteran of mortgages, escrows, and brokerage who teaches his own renewal classes for Arizona licensees.
Chapter One · Iowa Roots
From an Iowa farm to 3,000 Arizona escrows.
Todd J. Smith grew up in a small farming community in Iowa. After earning a business degree at Iowa State University, he moved to Phoenix and made his debut in real estate as a mortgage loan officer for Citicorp, where he specialized in jumbo loans for luxury homebuyers in North Scottsdale.
After 10 years as a loan officer, Todd started his own independent mortgage brokerage with a small team of hand-picked professionals who worked hard every day to master their loan product knowledge and become experts at walking clients through the escrow process.
In 2011 he traded his mortgage broker license for a real estate license and became a full-time Realtor. With close to 3,000 escrows under his belt, he knows what actually happens between an accepted offer and a recorded deed.

Since 2015
In 2015 Todd became a certified instructor at the Arizona School of Real Estate and Business. A short time later he earned his real estate broker's license and served as managing broker for a Scottsdale brokerage, then joined HomeSmart as a consulting broker. Today he works as an associate broker with My Home Group.
The School

In 2022 Todd founded Superior Real Estate School, an ADRE-approved private continuing education school (School #S22-0022), to teach Arizona licensees the renewal hours they actually need. When he is not teaching, he is in the garage, on the golf course, or traveling to visit his daughter in San Francisco and South Dakota. And he still goes home to Iowa every summer.
